Humble Beginnings

ImpactX Academy started in September 2016, where the Founder (Johnson Chng) formed the academy at Willetton Basketball Stadium in Perth, Western Australia. What started as a regular training class for 13 boys aged 10 to 11 years old for 10 weeks subsequently grew to an academy that hosted training for 120 boys and girls aged 4 to 20 years old.

ImpactX Academy not only provides basketball training services, but it also equips Leadership & Team Building skills for their players. Johnson, together with his team of coaches, applies leadership frameworks from John Maxwell Team and John R Wooden Course to uplevel the thinking and execution of the players during training, both on and off the court. Coach Johnson always emphasised the concept of Student Athletes (adopted from the film, Coach Carter).
